After I graduated from college, I found myself in a world of realities I hadn't previously been accustomed to or knowledgeable of -- including taking care of myself physically. I ended up with questions I couldn't ask my parents and was embarrassed about asking the doctor I had during my teen years. I was nervous, but I knew the Planned Parenthood office would have those answers. The nurses and employees were polite and forthright -- and launched me into a new stage of my life without sugar coating. I was no longer a child. These professionals were ideally suited to meet my needs related to basic reproductive care and good health. If it weren't for that office being there, I would not be as healthy and aware as I am today. Young people need a safe, non-judgmental, and just plain smart/commonsense place to go. Planned Parenthood has earned this place in our society. This organization is invaluable in these United States of America -- today more than ever.
